The company is structured into three main operating divisions: 1. Power Industry Services: This segment specializes in delivering EPC solutions for alternative energy projects, such as biomass plants, wind farms, and solar fields. It also provides design, construction, project management, start-up, and ongoing operation services for power generation facilities, with a portfolio that includes projects accounting for approximately 15 gigawatts of power-generating capacity. Its client base includes independent power project developers, public utilities, power plant equipment suppliers, and other energy plant construction companies. 2. Industrial Fabrication and Field Services: This division provides specialized industrial field services, alongside pipe and vessel fabrication, for clients in industries such as forest products, industrial gas, fertilizer, and mining, predominantly within the southeastern United States. 3. Telecommunications Infrastructure Services: This segment offers a range of services related to communication and power networks. This includes trenchless directional boring and excavation for underground systems, aerial cabling, installation of buried cables, high and low voltage electric lines, and outdoor lighting systems. Additionally, it provides structured cabling, terminations, and connectivity solutions critical for the physical transmission of high-speed data, voice, video, and security networks. Its customers include state and local government bodies, regional communications providers, electric utilities, various commercial entities, and federal government facilities, including cleared sites, primarily located in the mid-Atlantic region of the United States. Argan, Inc. was founded in 1961 and is headquartered in Rockville, Maryland.
