It also markets and distributes various refined petroleum products such as gasoline, middle distillates, and motor fuels. Ancillary services include natural gas compression, removal of carbon dioxide and hydrogen sulfide, gas cooling, dehydration, and British thermal unit (BTU) management. The company also oversees coal and natural resource properties, involving activities like selling timber, leasing coal infrastructure, collecting oil and gas royalties, and generating electricity. Energy Transfer LP was established in 1996, is headquartered in Dallas, Texas, and adopted its current name in October 2018, having previously operated as Energy Transfer Equity, L.P.
