FuelCell Energy, Inc., and its subsidiaries, manage the complete lifecycle of stationary fuel cell power plants, from initial design and manufacturing through sales, installation, operation, and ongoing maintenance. These systems are engineered for distributed baseload power generation. The company's offerings include a range of SureSource platforms: the 1.4-megawatt (MW) SureSource1500, the 2.8 MW SureSource 3000, the 3.7 MW SureSource 4000, the 250-kilowatt (kW) SureSource 250, and the 400-kW SureSource 400. A key innovation is the 2.3 MW SureSource Hydrogen platform, designed to produce up to 1,200 kilograms of hydrogen daily for multi-megawatt utility, microgrid, and distributed hydrogen applications, as well as supplying on-site heat and chilling. Beyond power generation, FuelCell Energy also provides the SureSource Capture system, capable of isolating and concentrating carbon dioxide from the exhaust streams of natural gas, biomass, or coal-fired power plants, along with various industrial facilities. The company also develops solid oxide fuel cell and solid oxide electrolysis cell stack technologies. Their SureSource power plants are notable for generating clean electricity, usable heat, water, and hydrogen. FuelCell Energy delivers a comprehensive array of services, including engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC), project financing, and extensive post-installation support. This support encompasses real-time monitoring, remote operational control, an online support framework, preventative maintenance, parts and supplies, both on-site and classroom training, and power plant refurbishment or recycling programs. Furthermore, the company offers technical consultation on plant operation, performance optimization, and fuel processing. The company caters to a broad spectrum of markets, such as utility providers, independent power producers, industrial and process applications, educational and healthcare institutions, data centers, communication infrastructure, wastewater treatment plants, government sectors, microgrids, and the food and beverage, commercial, and hospitality industries. Operating across the United States, South Korea, England, Germany, and Switzerland, FuelCell Energy, Inc. was established in 1969 and is headquartered in Danbury, Connecticut.
