As of December 31, 2021, First Citizens maintained a physical presence with 529 branches spread across 19 states: Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Kansas, Maryland, Missouri, North Carolina, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Oregon, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, Washington, Wisconsin, and West Virginia. Founded in 1898, the company's corporate headquarters are situated in Raleigh, North Carolina.
