Beyond traditional deposits, Truist offers a broad spectrum of financial solutions such as funding services; asset management; diverse lending options like automobile, bankcard, consumer finance, home equity, and mortgage loans; as well as small business and student lending. The company's comprehensive insurance portfolio covers property and casualty, life, health, employee benefits, workers' compensation, professional liability, surety, and title insurance. Additional services include investment brokerage, advanced mobile and online banking platforms, payment processing, and lease financing. Truist also provides specialized wealth management and private banking services. Its extensive commercial and corporate offerings encompass capital market services, institutional trust administration, international banking, and various commercial finance solutions including insurance premium and general commercial financing, leasing, and merchant services. The firm also manages commercial deposits and treasury operations, government finance, and a wide array of commercial lending products, such as middle-market, floor plan, commercial mortgage, mortgage warehouse, private equity investment, real estate, and supply chain financing. Furthermore, Truist delivers sophisticated corporate and investment banking, retail and wholesale brokerage, securities underwriting, and investment advisory services. As of December 31, 2021, Truist operated a network of 2,517 banking offices. The company, originally known as BB&T Corporation, formally adopted the name Truist Financial Corporation in December 2019. Founded in 1872, its headquarters are located in Charlotte, North Carolina.
