The company's operations are divided into three primary segments: Commercial Lending, Consumer Lending, and Investment Management. Valley National Bancorp also offers loans secured by the cash surrender value of life insurance, home equity loans and lines of credit, and both secured and unsecured consumer loans. Beyond lending and deposits, the company strategically invests in diverse securities and interest-bearing accounts with other banks. Its international banking services encompass standby and documentary letters of credit, foreign exchange transactions, documentary collections, international wire transfers, and transaction accounts for non-resident aliens. For wealth management, the company delivers investment services for individuals and small to medium-sized businesses, alongside managing trusts and crafting customized investment strategies for various retirement plans. Trust services for individuals include living and testamentary trusts, investment management, custodial and escrow functions, and estate administration. Further offerings include tax credit advisory services, agency services for property and casualty, life, health, and title insurance, as well as financing for healthcare equipment and other commercial equipment leasing. The company also holds investments related to real estate. Customers have access to modern banking conveniences such as online, mobile, and telephone banking, complemented by services like overdraft protection, drive-in and night deposit facilities, automated teller machines (ATMs), remote deposit capture, and safe deposit boxes. As of December 31, 2021, Valley National Bancorp operated 232 branch offices spread across New Jersey, New York, Florida, and Alabama. The institution was founded in 1927 and is headquartered in New York, New York.
