About Aboitiz Power Corporation

Aboitiz Power Corporation, a Philippine entity and a subsidiary of Aboitiz Equity Ventures, Inc., operates extensively across the nation's electricity sector. Its core activities encompass power generation, distribution, and the retail sale of electricity. The company generates power from a diverse portfolio of facilities, utilizing sources such as hydropower, geothermal, solar, coal, and oil. It then channels this electricity to consumers through various means, including long-term power supply contracts, agreements for ancillary services, and participation in the wholesale electricity spot market. Furthermore, Aboitiz Power is a major electricity distributor, serving industrial, residential, commercial, and other customer segments. This is achieved through its network of nine distribution utilities, which also provide electricity-related services like electrical equipment installation. These utilities cover franchise areas spanning 18 cities and municipalities, as well as five economic zones across the major Philippine islands of Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao. The corporation is also active in the retail electricity market, supplying power to a range of industries, including property development, meat processing, semiconductors, steel, and cement. As of February 28, 2022, Aboitiz Power commanded a substantial net sellable capacity totaling 5,332 megawatts. Established in 1998, the company maintains its headquarters in Taguig City, Philippines.
