About Viridien

Operating globally, Viridien provides a comprehensive suite of data, products, services, and solutions within the fields of Earth science, data analytics, sensing technologies, and environmental monitoring. Its extensive geographic reach covers North and Latin America, Europe, Africa, the Middle East, and the Asia Pacific region. The company's operations are structured into two principal divisions: Data, Digital & Energy Transition (DDE) and Sensing & Monitoring (SMO). The DDE segment focuses on the creation and licensing of Earth data seismic surveys, seismic data processing and imaging, the sale of seismic data processing software (marketed under the Geovation brand), and the provision of expert consulting in geoscience and petroleum engineering, alongside the collection and licensing of geological information. Conversely, the SMO segment is dedicated to the design, engineering, and manufacturing of specialized seismic equipment for both land and marine data acquisition, encompassing seismic recording devices, software, and various seismic energy sources like land vibrators and marine systems. This division also delivers sensing and monitoring solutions through well-known brands such as Sercel, Metrolog, GRC, DeRegt, and Geocomp, supported by comprehensive customer service and training programs. Viridien's diverse offerings serve applications across natural resources, environmental protection, infrastructure development, energy transition initiatives, and digital sectors. Established in 1931 and headquartered in Massy, France, the company was formerly known as CGG until its name change to Viridien in May 2024.
