Vesuvius plc is a global engineering firm delivering specialized services and advanced solutions primarily to the steel and foundry sectors. The company's operations are organized into two key divisions: Steel and Foundry. For iron, steel, and nonferrous foundries, it supplies a comprehensive array of consumables and equipment. This encompasses binders, specialized coatings, feeding mechanisms, filtration and gating technologies, refractories for melt shops, advanced metallurgical and pouring control systems, die dressings, melt treatment materials, crucibles, and various ceramic components. Beyond its core foundry focus, Vesuvius extends its expertise to nonferrous metal production—covering primary and secondary aluminum, copper, and other alloys—and offers solutions for cement and lime manufacturing, alongside iron ore pelletizing and calcination products, and various grains and powders. Additionally, its industrial capabilities include process heaters, FCC units, hydrogen reformers, boilers, coke calciners, thermal oxidizers, and essential equipment for sulphur, ethylene, and ammonia facilities. The company further delivers services for power generation and incineration sectors. Its extensive glass portfolio features artistic, display, float, hollow, and optical glass, complemented by products for glass tempering, reheating, and forming. Moreover, Vesuvius supports the solar industry with specialized solutions for multicrystal silicon ingots, thin film and cell processing, and feedstock materials. Within the steel production lifecycle, Vesuvius supplies a comprehensive range of specialized technologies. These encompass blast furnace stack repair, advanced taphole clays, systems for iron and slag runners, precise sampling and temperature monitoring, tilting runners, and torpedo ladle solutions. Its offerings also include iron ladle technologies, lining solutions, taphole and bath agitation/tuyere systems, maintenance for electric arc furnaces (EAFs) and Basic Oxygen Furnaces (BOFs), and sophisticated metallurgical sensors. The company provides end-to-end solutions from ladle to tundish, and further from tundish to mold for various casting applications, including conventional, thin, and slim slab, beam blank, flow control valve bloom or billet, and calibrated nozzle billet casters. Furthermore, it provides innovations for ingot casting, reheat furnaces, steel hot forming, galvanized steel manufacturing, and specialized electrical and stainless-steel applications. Founded in 1916, Vesuvius plc maintains its corporate headquarters in London, United Kingdom.
