It also provides water services comprising catchment, drinking water treatment, distribution, and sanitation; concessions through BOT contracts; exploitation of hydraulic infrastructures; and EPC design and construction projects; and infrastructure services, which include construction of bridges, roads, tunnels, subway, railway, airport, maritime, and hydraulic works; and construction and maintenance of infrastructures, electromechanical installations, electricity distribution networks, and oil and gas pipeline, as well as buildings. In addition, the company engages in the financing, management, and operation of transport and social infrastructure concessions; production and marketing of cement, concrete, aggregate, and mortar. Further, it is involved in housing rental projects; leasing and management of office buildings, commercial premises, and shopping centres; urban land management; and promotion and sale of real estate products. The company was formerly known as Fomento de Obras y Construcciones S.A. and changed its name to Fomento de Construcciones y Contratas, S.A. in January 1992.
