GEK TERNA Holdings, Real Estate, Construction S.A., operating through its various subsidiaries, is a diversified enterprise with extensive involvement in construction, property development, natural resource extraction (mining), energy generation, and infrastructure concession businesses. The company's geographical reach is broad, encompassing Greece, the Balkans, the Middle East, Eastern Europe, the United States, and other global markets. Its construction division undertakes a vast range of projects for both public and private sector clients, including the development of highways, rail networks, various types of buildings (such as hospitals, museums, and industrial facilities), hydroelectric plants, dams, and power stations. Furthermore, GEK TERNA actively finances, manages, and commercially operates significant concession projects, including motorways and parking facilities. In the energy sector, the company is engaged in developing and running renewable power sources like wind farms, hydroelectric installations, waste treatment and biogas production plants, and photovoltaic parks. It also pursues pumped storage and other critical infrastructure initiatives. GEK TERNA has an electric energy production capacity of 895.3 MW and participates in natural gas trading. Additionally, it operates thermal power plants in Viotia, Greece, with a combined installed capacity of 582 MW (147 MW and 435 MW). The real estate segment focuses on the acquisition, development, and management of a diverse portfolio of properties, which includes business centers, industrial parks, entertainment complexes, residential units, and hotels. Its mining operations involve the production of quarry materials and the exploitation of magnesite quarries. Originally established in 1960 under the name Ermis Real Estate Constructions Enterprises S.A., the company maintains its headquarters in Athens, Greece.
