The company is also involved in developing medical software packages, distributing information and communication terminals, and marketing welfare vehicles. Founded in 1912, Ibiden Co., Ltd. maintains its headquarters in Ogaki, Japan. The enterprise was originally established as Ibigawa Electric Power Co., Ltd. before adopting its current corporate name in November 1982.
