About OMRON Corporation

OMRON Corporation operates as a global entity, focusing its diverse business activities across four primary sectors: industrial automation, device and module solutions, social infrastructure systems, and healthcare. In its Industrial Automation Business, OMRON supplies an extensive range of products. These offerings include various sensors, switches, vital safety and control components, relays, advanced factory automation (FA) system equipment, sophisticated motion and drive solutions, robotics, and specialized equipment for energy-saving and environmental support, alongside power supplies and other peripheral devices. The Device and Module Solutions segment is responsible for providing essential components such as relays, switches, connectors, and a wide array of sensors. OMRON's Social Systems, Solutions and Service Business is dedicated to supporting and improving public infrastructure with a broad portfolio of technologies. This encompasses terminals and specialized systems, notably including PV inverters and energy storage batteries. It also delivers sophisticated railway station systems, such as automated ticket gates and vending machines; traffic and road management systems; payment solutions; and Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) units designed to shield equipment from unexpected power disruptions. Furthermore, this division offers comprehensive software development and maintenance services crucial for social infrastructure, in addition to transport management and infrastructure monitoring systems. Within the Healthcare sector, the company manufactures and distributes a variety of medical devices. Its product lineup features blood pressure monitors, nebulizers, electrotherapy TENS devices, digital thermometers, and body composition monitors, among other health-related products like activity monitors and automated external defibrillators (AEDs). OMRON Corporation has also forged a strategic alliance with JMDC Inc. to collaboratively develop personalized healthcare solutions. These innovations are designed to predict the likelihood of specific patient health events, thereby aiding in the management of prescription medication treatments and guiding patient lifestyle adjustments to prevent condition aggravation and mitigate the need for nursing care. Historically, the company operated under the name OMRON Tateisi Electronics Co. before officially rebranding as OMRON Corporation in January 1990. OMRON Corporation was established and maintains its corporate headquarters in Kyoto, Japan.
