This segment serves a wide range of clients, encompassing businesses, government agencies, and other institutions across industries like transportation, commercial construction, healthcare, education, retail and wholesale trade, forest products, energy, general manufacturing, and financial services. The Title Insurance segment issues both lenders' and owners' title insurance policies, protecting real estate purchasers and investors. These policies are based on meticulous searches of public records. Additionally, this segment offers escrow closing and construction disbursement services, provides real estate information products, national default management services, and various other essential services related to real estate transfers and loan transactions. Lastly, the Republic Financial Indemnity Group Run-off Business segment focuses on private mortgage insurance coverage. This product protects mortgage lenders and investors from losses arising from defaults on residential mortgage loans, primarily those granted to homebuyers. Founded in 1923, the corporation is headquartered in Chicago, Illinois.
