This segment also delivers advanced factory automation solutions, such as industrial robots, compact injection molding machines, and other sophisticated production systems. Furthermore, it manufactures essential electronic components like crystal units, crystal oscillators, and quartz sensors, which are crucial for consumer electronics, automotive applications, and industrial equipment. Complementing this, it produces CMOS LSIs and other semiconductor chips primarily for the consumer electronics and automotive industries. This division also supplies specialized metal powders, serving as raw materials for electronic component manufacturing and for high-value surface finishing across various industrial fields. Beyond these specialized areas, the company also markets personal computers. Seiko Epson maintains a significant international footprint, with active operations in countries such as Japan, the Philippines, the United States, Indonesia, and China, among other global locations. The company was established in 1942 and is headquartered in Suwa, Japan.
