Finally, the LED Solutions segment, operating under the CreeLED brand, produces application-optimized light-emitting diodes for general lighting, video displays, and specific illumination requirements. SGH distributes its products directly to original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), enterprise customers, government agencies, and other end-users. Its sales channels include a dedicated direct sales force, e-commerce platforms, customer service representatives, on-site field application engineers, independent sales representatives, distributors, integrators, and resellers. The company, originally incorporated as Saleen Holdings, Inc., adopted the name SMART Global Holdings, Inc. in August 2014.
