About W.R. Berkley Corporation 4.125%

W. R. Berkley Corporation (WRB) operates as an insurance holding company, primarily focusing on underwriting commercial lines insurance both domestically and internationally. Its business operations are structured across two main divisions: Insurance, and Reinsurance & Monoline Excess. The Insurance segment offers a comprehensive array of commercial insurance products. These include general liability, commercial auto, property, and professional liability, alongside specialized coverages such as workers' compensation, environmental liability, fine arts and jewelry, umbrella and excess liability, and cyber risk solutions. It also caters to specific industries like technology, life sciences, and travel, and provides directors and officers (D&O) and surety risk products. Additionally, this segment extends its offerings to include accident and health insurance, group life, crime and fidelity coverage, and personal lines solutions for homeowners, auto owners, and collectibles. The segment also provides risk program management services. Conversely, the Reinsurance & Monoline Excess segment specializes in assisting other insurance carriers and self-insured entities in mitigating their net risk exposures. This is achieved through both portfolio-based treaty reinsurance and individual facultative reinsurance arrangements. Established in 1967, W. R.
