The company, originally named Yokogawa Electric Works Ltd., adopted its current corporate identity in 1986. Its global reach extends across Japan, Southeast Asia, the Far East, China, India, Europe, Russia, North America, the Middle East, Africa, and both Central and South America. The company's operations are structured into three primary divisions. The Industrial Automation and Control segment delivers a broad spectrum of field instruments, including flow meters, pressure transmitters, and process analyzers, in addition to advanced control systems, programmable controllers, and various software products and related services. Within the Test and Measurement segment, Yokogawa develops sophisticated waveform and optical communication measuring instruments, signal generators, tools for electrical voltage, current, and power measurement, as well as LCD drivers and confocal scanners. Finally, the Aviation and Other Businesses segment is dedicated to supplying specialized instrumentation to the aviation sector. Yokogawa serves an extensive and diverse clientele, encompassing industries such as oil and gas, LNG supply chains, chemical processing, conventional and renewable power generation, water and wastewater management, mining and metallurgy, pharmaceuticals, pulp and paper, iron and steel manufacturing, and the food and beverage sector.
